Democracy Day 2026: Engr. Abubakar Momoh Calls for Unity, Development and National Progress
As we commemorate Democracy Day 2026, I join millions of Nigerians in celebrating the resilience of our democracy, the sacrifices of our heroes, and the enduring power of the people’s voice.
June 12 reminds us that democracy is not merely about elections. It is about good governance, accountability, development, and creating opportunities that improve the lives of our citizens.
Under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, our nation continues to pursue reforms and initiatives aimed at strengthening institutions, expanding economic opportunities, and delivering sustainable development to communities across the country.
At the Ministry of Regional Development, we remain committed to ensuring that development reaches every region, every community, and every citizen through strategic infrastructure, economic empowerment, and inclusive growth initiatives.
As we reflect on our democratic journey, let us renew our collective commitment to national unity, peace, and active participation in building the Nigeria of our dreams.
Together, we can deepen democracy and accelerate development for present and future generations.
Happy Democracy Day, Nigeria.
Engr. Abubakar Momoh, FNSE
Honourable Minister of Regional Development
Federal Republic of Nigeria 🇳🇬
